It’s plattering time!

I love to bake and I love to cook. I like to bake when I am stressed as it is a great stress reliever for me and the whole family benefits 🙂 But sometimes, I am just too busy to bake and have to find something that will please the crowds in my house.

Recently I discovered plattering. My sister has started plattering and there are many wonderful IG accounts of plattering. Check out @plattersoftheworld and @plattermeupcolorado for some inspirational platter ideas!

People are plattering anything all the time! It is a wonderful way to create something delicious but does not involve baking or cooking. You can buy all your platter ingredients then have fun putting it all together. There are all kinds of platters to buy or if you sift through your kitchen cupboard, I bet you will find something that will make a great platter. I like a little bit of a lip on the platter so the food does not fall off. Recently for a family holiday meal for 36 people, I ended up plattering my desserts. Of course I had way way too much but it looked great and was fun putting it all together.

I am not the perfect platterer by far, but I enjoy creating. Each platter is different and it depends on the food you are using. So just go for it and see how far your imagination can take you.

Happy Plattering!
