Cauliflower Pizza Crust

A wonderful alternative to a heavy doughy pizza crust.This great recipe comes from the wonderful Wendy Smith Sweet and her program https://www.mymenopausetransformation.com/

Equipment

  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 1 pizza stone or cookie sheet lined with parchment paper

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tbsp Chia seeds
  • ¼ cup Water
  • 1 cup Spelt flour
  • 1 cup Cooked cauliflower, mashed
  • ½ cup Nutritional yeast flakes
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions
 

  • Pre heat oven to 220c or 440f
  • Put chia seeds in water and let sit for 15 minutes
  • In a bowl put flour, garlic, cauliflower, nutritional yeast and herbs. mix together and add the chia seed mixture and mix well to form a dough.
  • Spread the dough on a greased cookie sheet, a pizza stone or on a parchment paper on a pizza stone of tray.
    Spread thinly and place in oven for 12-15 minutes or until the edges begin to brown.
  • Remove from oven, add your toppings and place under the grill for about 3-4 mins.
